Solar Development Manager

1. Adhere to the company’s values and behaviors as
defined by the ONE E.ON philosophy.
2. Establish a portfolio of utility-scale PV projects
through a combination of greenfield development,
co-development partnerships and project acquisitions
3. Manage all aspects of the greenfield development of

projects, which includes:
  • Identifying and assessing feasibility of project
  • Working with landowners to lease, purchase and/or
option real property and/or acquire right-of-way and
other easements
  • Managing environmental assessments and acquiring all
necessary permits
  • Initiating transmission studies and managing
interconnection processes to completion
  • Managing any and all other aspects of solar project
development work

4. Initiate and manage co-development partnerships:
assess and select the projects / partners, follow
partner’s project development work and costs, etc.
5. Originate and assess projects for acquisition,
support acquisition process and continue project
development as necessary
6. For all projects throughout the full development

process, duties include:
  • Working with other team members regarding off-take
of power
  • Assisting with project financial modeling
  • Writing project proposals
  • Assisting with arrangements for finance,
construction and operations, and other matters
7. Depending on profile, achievements and US PV unit
growth and strategy, manage a development team in charge
of tasks above

1. At least 2 years of energy project development
experience. Utility scale solar PV experience is
2. Bachelor’s degree in business, science or other
applicable field. MBA or other advanced degree a
General conditions
1. Understanding of key solar markets dynamics,
development processes and constraints, especially in
the Midwest and Northeast US (energy / preferably
solar project development experience in MISO and PJM
a strong plus)
2. Extensive knowledge of the full-cycle of
utility-scale renewable power generation development
and marketing;
3. Good knowledge of interconnection, permitting, real
estate, state/federal regulation, utility
procurement goals, politics, law and other issues
that impact development of renewable energy projects
4. Good knowledge of the solar PV industry
participants (potential partners) and stakeholders;
5. Ability to manage / supervise numerous projects;
6. Ability to work with multidisciplinary team in
multiple E.ON locations
7. Experience interacting and communicating
effectively with multiple stakeholders;
8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and
software used to develop Solar PV projects;
9. Willingness and availability to travel extensively
(1-3 nights per week).
