Solar Module Assembly Operators will perform solar module assembly, inspection, test and packaging functions for Norcross module assembly operation. This position requires repetitive cooperative lifting and moving of Solar Modules which can weigh over 50 lbs. All Operators must be in top physical condition as well as pass a “fit for duty” test.
Shift hours are assigned in 12-hour shifts, 3:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Employees schedules are rotating days (2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on 3 off) - therefore every other weekend you will enjoy three days off!
Operate manufacturing process tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to assemble and test solar modules.
Perform basic machine set ups and adjustments
Transport modules from one operation to the next
Follow all safety, quality and other manufacturing procedures
Maintain process quality and yield
Work with maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot equipment and process problems
Work with previous and following shifts to make smooth shift transitions
Participate and contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving activities.
Attend scheduled training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned
Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
High-school diploma or beyond
Ability to interact with automated equipment with computer interface
Previous factory experience desirable
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job.
Ability to pass a “fitness for duty” pre-screening test.
