We’re looking for that rare developer who can transcend all positions related to the user experience on the Web. This position will work closely with customers and prospects to understand and translate business rules into detailed requirements and technical designs.

You will be responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. This includes hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.

You will work closely with sales to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes and determine feature product gaps that are easily solved with application development.

Minimum 5+ years of experience required.

Evidence of troubleshooting and solving problems in a highly technical customer focused service environment

Work with customers and prospects to understand their unique technical needs and design an integrated solution

Understand internal product road map to determine solution gaps that can be solved with custom applications and interface with product management to provide necessary feedback

Responsible for developing and testing integrated, web based applications using multiple coding languages

Enjoy being an important member of our fun, fast paced, energetic and very agile team

Have been building, tweaking and extending web sites and apps for at least five years and are proud of what you’ve created

Have a very strong foundation in (X)HTML and CSS

Have solid JavaScript and Jquery chops

Regularly defeat cross-browser bugs and know how to handle the dreaded beast that is IE 6

Are energized by the idea of building products that scale (think in terms of millions and billions of interactions)

Regularly use server-side template languages such as Python, PHP (building your own WordPress themes, Drupal), JSP, Expression Engine or Ruby on Rails

Have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, including the ability to efficiently slice and dice layered files

Strong communication and problem-solving skills with an ability to deliver on time and work with minimal supervision

Understanding of the full software development lifecycle

A strong desire to deliver a quality product and create happy customers

Technical Requirements:
Expert/Advanced HTML developer and very strong JavaScript/jquery including web services and being able to stub out web services.

Proficient in Persistence Technologies: IBATIS JDO, JDBC

Proficient in the following: Java, Jasper, XML, JSON, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, Jquery, HTML/CGI, DHTML, SQL, JSP

Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails OR the desire to learn

Other transferable programming expertise: python, perl, php

Expert experience using HTML/CSS to create tableless websites that adhere to web standards

Intermediate skill in Photoshop. Cutting up PSD’s and optimizing images.

Required Experience:
Experience building high availability and scalable applications for enterprise level products

Must possess the ability to write JavaScript with / without use of libraries. jQuery is a plus J

DOM (events, traversing, memory management), DHTML, and at least one client side JavaScript library (jQuery, YUI, Prototype, Dojo, Mootools)

Experience in Agile development

Experience with Java webapplication development environments

Experience with cross-platform, cross-browser development

Strong development capability with client-side, object oriented

Experience with AJAX (a deep understanding of the lifecycle of an AJAX call

Knowledge with version control and bug tracking systems.
