Account Executives are responsible for cold calling, prospecting, proposal generation and contract negotiations.
The Solutions Engineer will help facilitate sales revenue and retention through the design and implementation of solutions used to solve customer telecommunications needs. The position will also be responsible for driving technical sales engineering engagements in large, complex WAN, Data Center, Hosting, Managed Services, and Professional Services products and will act as a resource for both pre- and post-sales issues for Enterprise customers and complex sales.
This is a field-based role that is primarily REVENUE driven and covers a regional geographic area. The position will be responsible for supporting as many as 20 sales individuals. Exemplary time management skills are a must.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of Pre-Sale Design and Solutions-based selling experience in a telecommunications environment
Experience selling and winning large, complex WAN and Managed Services applications – specifically MPLS and Data Center/Hosting
Strong understanding of carrier-based VoIP and Hosted IP Telephony solutions
Experience designing and selling solutions in a managed services environment including network-based security, VPN, and Data Back-up
Experience in training sales staff; strong ability to articulate technical concepts
Experience in designing Cisco LAN/WAN solutions including generating Bill of Materials.
Fluent in all carrier access technologies including T-1, DS3, Optical, and Metro Ethernet
CCDA or CCNA certification strongly preferred
Strong understanding of routing protocols, design, and theory
Strong understanding of network security design and theory
Proficient in Visio, excel, word, etc.
Comfortable presenting in complex sales environments
Perform technical presentations to existing and new customers at an executive level
