Make standard recommendations on methods and procedures on how to deploy the Company’s content security software
  • Work with customers, partners, and other technical staff on network design, implementation, optimization, migrations and on-going management for the Company’s products
  • Define requirements for how product integration should be done
  • Establish operational best-practices and train technical staff, customers and partners for successful deployments
  • Support issues that may have occurred during acceptance testing and help reduce turnaround times on project completion
  • Provide support and technical expertise in network technology including LAN/WAN hardware, hubs, bridges, routers and load balancers for both unicast and multicast operations.
  • Coordinate with software development, quality assurance and operations teams to resolve more complex installation and support issues
  • Collaborate with the software development team to give network perspective
  • Stay up to date on technology trends to keep the software development, deployment, operations, test and IT teams informed on what is coming and how to prepare and take advantage
  • Share technical knowledge and skills throughout the department and company by creating knowledge base articles and training materials.
  • Proactively suggest changes to the Company’s products, processes or internal tools to improve efficiency
  • Proactively make recommendations on 3 rd party equipment from Cisco, F5, Juniper, etc. that the company should evaluate, test against, etc.
  • Document and raise technical risks to engineering management
  • Provide tier 3 technical support as needed
  • Others as assigned
  • Qualifications:
    • 10 or more years of high-availability networking engineering experience
    • Experience in multi-server designs and configurations, including multiple application servers interfacing with multiple databases
    • Experience in redundant systems with geo-redundancy a plus
    • Excellent communication skills including documentation and presentations
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
    • Professional, positive and available to be on-call as needed
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience
    • Android or iOS deployment
    • Copy control
    • DCE/RPC
    • Digital Rights Management
    • Experience scaling to mobile
    • Experience with cloud computing
    • ISO 7816 chip card technology
    • MUX installation and configuration
    • Network Certifications from sources such as Cisco, F5, Microsoft or Novell.
    • NoSQL
    • RDMBS, particularly Oracle
    • Security protocols, cryptography, PKI, SSL/TLS experience
    • Service-oriented architecture
    • SNMP
    • SOAP
    • Video Conditional Access Systems
    • Video standards such as: DECE/UltraViolet, MPEG2/4, AVC, H.264, MPEG DASH, HTTP Live Streaming, PlayReady, Marlin and RTSP
    • Video watermarking
    • Virtualization
