The Solutions Development Specialist (SDS) role is a pre-sales support function. The skill set required includes deep process, industry, and technical/system knowledge as it pertains to our solutions. The benefits of the role include demonstrating a depth of organization throughout the sales cycle, and having a knowledgeable resource to interface with the more detail oriented, technical client-side resources. The SDS is expected to have a deeper level of understanding in solving the specific of client needs than we would expect out of an AE or Agent.

  • To assist the AE and agents in positioning our strategic solutions with prospects and clients, matching client needs with our various service offerings
  • To ensure that the solutions sold meet the standards and capabilities of the delivery and service engines, translating client needs into a documented scope of work and handing off the proposed solution to the Delivery team
  • Discovery and qualifying of new opportunities (Assessment Process)
  • Crafting solutions for proposals and bid responses
  • Demonstrating solutions and toolsets for customers and prospects
  • Manage and drive contracting process (MSA, SoW, NDA, etc.)
  • Developing pre-sales client inventory for inclusion into assessment process
  • Providing management with qualified feedback on pending opportunities
  • Communicating client & market needs to management and sales
  • Identifying and implementing innovative business development and sales strategies
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in the telecommunications industry
  • Detailed knowledge of telecom and IT service offerings such as software, hardware, wireless and wire line services, along with the nuances of pricing structures and invoicing conventions
  • Analytical database background supported by excellent computer skills; MS Excel, MS Access
  • High energy, self starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer relationship development and management skills
  • Occasional travel required
