Solutions/ Sales Engineer

We’re looking for our first Solutions Engineer to help with outbound customer assistance and acquisition. Here we’re building a world class customer success engineering team which unites platform, developer support and solutions engineers to provide in-depth solutions for the customers of our Platform as a Service (PaaS).
This is not an up-sell position. You’ll focus on finding the right combination of hosted and third-party services, languages and frameworks to encourage large and developing customers to grow their business on our platform. You’ll interact with customers (online & in-person), write technical blogs, give presentations to audiences small and large, and on occasion, code. You’ll be out in the field looking for problems and solutions before customers even think to ask.
Maintain expertise on the Platform and competing platforms and services sufficient to compare and contrast the benefits of each.
Provide detailed architectural solutions and working prototypes of service stacks to customers and prospects.
Provide technical training to and for the sales team.
Maintain written and telephone contact with multiple customers and prospects during overlapping projects.
Excellent time and priority management
Clear communications style, written and spoken
Previous experience in Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Developer Support or similar technical customer-facing role involving software development
Demonstrated skill in designing, creating and maintaining scaled web solutions
Experience and distributed build and deployment systems
Programming experience in multiple languages; Python, Go, node.js and C are some of our preferred languages
