Position Summary:
The Source Code Administrator position is responsible for performing all source code management and build related activities in support of software application development. This includes coordinating the build related activities with the Project Manager and Application Development staff in addition to working with the Change Management team on the implementation of changes. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an organized, intuitive and compliant source code version library. The Source Code Administrator will also be responsible for ensuring the build environment is stable and coordinates the resolution of environmental issues. The ideal candidate will have application development and source code management experience, be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and a team player with exceptional time management skills.

Primary Job Duties:
Builds and maintains Source Code Version repository that facilitates agile application development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Works directly with application development staff to create an intuitive source code taxonomy that will support current and future application development code.

Create software builds for both production and interim testing use. This includes the creation, testing, and documentation of the build packages, as well as communicating the status to the necessary stakeholders.

Facilitates build and deployment activities with both application development and change management staff. This effort includes the support of change management process and communicating conflicts to the release manager.

Monitors holistic build process for continuous improvement. This requires staying abreast of the latest build technologies and software and recommending/implementing best practices within the build process.

Works with a central team to develop a standardized source code management, automated build, and Continuous Integration (CI) environment

Supports governance and compliance policies related to source code management, build, and deployment actions.

Required Skills

Primary Skills/Knowledge:
Working knowledge of source code management and industry leading tools

Knowledge of Continuous Integration solutions

Meeting facilitation, relationship management, critical thinking, technical writing, and presentation skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build relationships and collaborate at all levels

Execution focused - Results oriented with a "can do" attitude

Experienced with structured SDLC and PMLC processes

Familiarity with Agile methodology; knowledge of Scrum and Unified Process desired

Knowledge of current tool set a plus (MS Visio, Excel, Project, and Case Complete)

Required Experience

Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree (Computer Science)

Preferred Experience:
2-4 years of experience with source code management (SCM) preferred. More than 5 years of complex IT work experience in systems/applications development including a strong understanding of the SDLC process. 2 or more years of experience with platform and build scripting languages including Ant, Perl, Kornshell?etc. Experience working with Change Management tools required Experience working with Windows, Linux or AIX platform navigation, administrative functions, file system maintenance and backup/recovery practices.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in an office environment
