Within Nokia Information and Capability Management, ICM, The Product Creation Capability Unit (PCC) is responsible for creating, running and optimizing globally shared product planning and engineering processes, tools and infrastructure to ensure a secure, robust and high performing environment supporting Nokia product creation in a fast and flexible manner. We are currently looking for a Source Code Management Support Specialist for North America.

In this challenging role you will be:
  • Providing high quality customer service to end users globally and locally: supports them in process and IT related problems and requests
  • Providing functional & technical knowledge regarding Source Code Management (SCM) applications
  • If resolution is not possible, assign the request further to the proper support group
  • Facilitate communication between key users and application development
  • Does root cause elimination by utilizing problem management process with detailed and complete request and solution descriptions
  • Communication of functionality changes & providing training materials to Key Users, Service Desk and local Support
  • Communicate with the user community about possible downtimes and the new functionalities
  • Assist in coordinating upgrade services
  • Participate in relevant project/sprint and maintenance tasks
  • Participate & coordinate local activities (training, processes, etc.)
  • Acts as an active and committed member of the expert global team; shares own expertise with other team members and specialist network
  • Continuously improve the ways of providing support and deployment activities

To make the most of this opportunity, you are a recognized expert with a relevant degree and 6 -8 years of experience within Source Code Management (SCM) area. Accustomed to working and making decisions independently.

  • Understanding SCM processes, applications, technologies and services
  • Understanding of application usage in defined business process.
  • Existing experience with using and administration of some of SCM tools like Git/Gerrit tools, Perforce, Mercurial etc
  • Scripting: Perl, Shell, Python
  • Experience about operating in complex IT environments including high availability and virtualized servers
  • Understanding IT security
  • Basic hardware knowledge
  • Configuration management and testing principles
  • Service Support model and practices
  • Analytical and problem solving skills are must
  • Customer focus and customer service skills
  • Communicating and presentation skills
