SUMMARY:
Guitar center is looking for a strategic Sourcing Manager to lead and manage the growing indirect procurement function at our Store Support Center. The Sourcing Manager will lead the development of indirect purchasing policies and procedures and drive the effort to create procurement awareness cost conscious behavior throughout the enterprise. This individual will be responsible for data collection and validation, opportunity assessment, and working with internal stakeholders in addressing spend through strategic sourcing and procurement. The Sourcing Manager will also evaluate and analyze e-procurement solutions in the effort to drive a lean transactional P2P process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead governance for spend management.

Evaluate sourcing and procurement technology solutions and lead implementation once approved, streamlining the P2P process while rationalizing the supplier base and driving effectiveness and productivity.

Construct a clear understanding of cost drivers and external benchmarks across multiple indirect categories identifying value levers to create tactics enabling incremental value.

Working in collaboration with indirect stakeholders, lead the development of strategic plans, tactics and project pipeline.

Lead development and execution of spend category project management strategies to drive cost savings and efficiencies.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and spending patterns to achieve efficiencies and cost savings, engaging the appropriate stakeholders in the process.

Lead cross-functional teams in performing competitive events ( RFPs, auctions, etc.) in support of category strategies.

Manage detailed negotiations in collaboration with stakeholders.

Recommend new sourcing strategies, process improvements and supplier relationship structures for the enterprise.

Direct and execute strategic sourcing strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support aggressive improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, risk compliance and other areas as identified.

Drive consolidation of spend and seek out synergies across business units.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 plus years of related experience.

Experience in supplier negotiations and collaborating with internal and external resources to develop and execute sourcing strategies.

Strong financial and analytical skills; demonstrated experience calculating financial implications to procurement strategies and decisions; business case development.

Strong internal stakeholder management skills: capacity to listen, build trusting relationships in all levels of the organization, understand and capture stakeholder's needs and deliver effective solutions.

Vast knowledge and comprehensive understanding of P2P ( procure to pay processes, procedures, systems and data mining and interpretation) in order to drive a lean transactional process.

Knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and professional procurement best practices.

Highly effective influencing and negotiation skills.

Change management experience.

Must be able to influence using data and analytics to make relevant points.

Strong writing and computer skills. Word, Excel, PowerPoint at advanced levels preferred.
