Panasonic Corporation of North America (PNA) is seeking a Sourcing Manager. The
Sourcing Manager is a procurement
professional representing leading edge or complex advanced professional knowledge,
theories and techniques. The Sourcing Manager provides strategic sourcing
directional guidance and integration across the supply categories and supply
relationships to accomplish transformed business results. The role will work
collaboratively with Panasonic’s multiple sales and shared services

Work with all divisional operations to develop sourcing strategies and programs
to maximize governance and compliance in their indirect purchases. Provide supplier evaluation techniques
relative to filling requirements. Develop appropriate plans to mitigate
procurement risks, relating to market conditions, lead times, and shifts in
pricing for strategic materials and services.

Spend and Cost Analysis:
Understand and employ multiple analyses including cost and price analysis, TCO,
and cost/benefit as a consultative role.
Provide strategic sourcing direction and integration across the indirect
procurement supply categories to satisfy defined business needs.

Inter-Company Relationship:
Track and properly allocate procurement savings and costs
to divisional budgets. Support PNA's SOX
compliance efforts. Support PNA's supplier
diversity goals by increasing use or opportunity of suppliers in all commodity
areas and by tracking opportunities to attain SBA goals as closely as possible.

Procurement Professional

Develop, influence and deploy a complete procurement process collaboratively
for appropriate functions with the focus on customer service. Support the indirect procurement processes
and ensure it aligns to business transformation as defined by the stakeholder. Facilitates the constructive handling or
resolution of conflict.

Supplier Relationship Management

: Lead/Manage
contract administration processes to assure attainment of company strategic
goals. Maintain full leveraged spend and
apply effective negotiation strategies to maximize benefits to the Ts&Cs of
contracts or formal agreements.

Transaction Processing:
Perform transaction processing duties it
relates to assigned commodity areas. Includes purchase requisition/purchase
order processing and invoice issue resolution as required.


BS/BA degree strongly preferred.

7 years+ of relevant procurement
experience, demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity.

Proficiency in personal computer
applications, eProcurement applications

Business and industry analysis

Excellent financial analysis

Supplier selection and management,
contract/SOW/RFP/NDA/evaluation matrix development, contract negotiations,
conflict management, decision making, building alignment, strategic

Key Competencies:
Well organized, detail oriented,
self motivated problem solver, ability to set priorities

Ability to communicate and
coordinate with multiple management levels.

Ability to gather and document
business requirements from stakeholders, and translate them into comprehensive
procurement requirements documents such as RFQs, SOWs and MSAs.

Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to
interface with all levels of management internally and externally.

Strong skills to communicate clear
directions, report to senior management.

Develop and maintain a network of
contacts to achieve key business, organizational and cross-cultural
