This position will support all Strategic Business Units through the development of short and long term sourcing plans, strategies and tactics. This will include: identification of sources of supply, establishment of supply chain execution model(s), contract development/management, assist in approval/qualification of suppliers, and overall project management of business unit requests. Drives the organization to implement applicable best practices as they are identified and developed.
Work with customer facing organizations and internal operations to identify opportunities for contract manufacturing including make vs. buy analysis
Apply your knowledge of global procurement and supply chains to the development of sourcing recommendations and execution plans for finished and semi-finished goods
Manages supply chain projects as directed by the business units and the enterprise supply chain organization
Identify risk areas within in the supply chain; develop recommendations on approach to mitigate/manage
Provides analytical expertise in supporting supply chain projects
Negotiates contracts and supply agreements; leads contract management activities as appropriate
Provide input to sourcing and supply chain strategy development
Provide subject matter expertise regarding the supply chain to internal stakeholders
Perform supply market analysis to bring new outsourcing opportunities to the Strategic Business Units
Continually benchmark internal and external processes to identify, track and drive best practices
5-7+ years experience with global sourcing and supply chain execution
3-5+ years experience in managing supply chain projects
Organizational agility with a proven ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization
Analytical and financial analysis techniques to drive decision making
Ability to understand, develop and document complex processes
Proven ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) across multiple global cultures and multiple time zones
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes is a plus (ie: printing, injection molding, converting)
Proven ability to lead, influence, and manage people, both directly and indirectly
Creative thinking, problem solving and innovation skills for both products & concepts
Proven competency in work load management, delegation and multi-tasking
Operational experience to drive decision making
Supply Chain Degree, SCOR, ISM, or APICS certification a plus
Ability to travel domestically and internationally - 15-25 % of your time
MBA preferred
