The Sourcing Quality Leader will lead assigned SQE team, and team activities focusing on supplier qualification, non-conformance management, and supplier surveillance and quality initiatives.
In addition, you will:
Be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, improving quality performance via Quality Plan implementation
Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes
Develop positive relationships and work closely with Sourcing Leaders to manage and implement supplier / engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers
Interface with Suppliers and Supply chain to drive Quality improvements
Deliver results as measured by key metrics, such as supplier yield, field cost, field defect rate, supplier quality plan engagement / effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure
Drive improvements utilizing Supplier Scorecards and own Supplier audit, ensuring supplier compliance, and driving improvement plans
Plan, organize, implement and direct the application of assigned human and material resources to assure delivery of products and/or services that meets established requirements and fulfills customer needs and expectations
Be responsible for the overall quality of the product, process, and outgoing quality for assigned commodity
Provide technical support and guidance to assure product quality and conformance
Ensure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements
Lead team resources to provide technical guidance to a global supplier base to assure product & process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
Monitor supplier non-conformance performance, and drive root-cause analyses, corrective actions & process improvements to reduce the Number of Defects & Cost of Quality
Drive improvement, consistency and adherence to Global Sourcing procedures and requirements
Work effectively with commercial, engineering and manufacturing teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of sourced components
Support sourcing quality initiatives / metrics
Participate in Quality Management Reviews with Global Sourcing
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years of Sourcing / Manufacturing experience
Minimum of 5 years of Leadership experience
Minimum of 2 years of Sourcing Quality experience
Ability and willingness to travel as required
