The Sourcing Specialist will establish the position of Business Lead that manages, directs, and coordinates the Procurement and Supplier Management activities related to their assigned product segment(s).

Establish and maintain position of Business Lead within assigned commodity and supply base.
Ensure internal cross functional teams and suppliers understand that your role as Business Lead is clearly defined and understood to include (but not limited to) contractual terms and pricing negotiations, delivery terms and issues, dispute resolution, overall supplier relationship management, etc.
Schedule and lead periodic meetings as needed with Suppliers and internal departments to resolve, manage, and track statuses and issues.
Non-technical participation in the development of specifications for components, including substitute materials.
Establish multiple sources as needed to ensure component availability.
Resolve grievances, and claims associated with assigned Supplier(s).
Review and evaluate specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
Prepare RFQ, RFP and bid awards.
Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
Schedule/lead quarterly business review meetings to maintain alignment of Supplier / Customer requirements.
Drive and track cost reductions.
Collaborate with Demand Management on short and long term forecasting.
Implement and chair Source Review Council (SRC) for assigned commodity(s) as needed.
Generate Key Performance Indicators and service level agreement metrics and data.
Analyze overall market and supply base in order to assess present and future material availability.
Participate with management in cross departmental training efforts.
Develop and implement Supplier Management Programs (SMP) that meets the specific needs of assigned Commodity(s) and Supplier(s). This will include bi-annual Scorecards and review meetings.
Participate in development and implementation of strategic sourcing objectives.

Bachelor's and 5-7 years; or Master's and 3-5 years of relevant work experience within Procurement, Product Planning, Supply Chain or Business Operations

Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration or equivalent experience
