Carolina Country Club was established in 1910 and has remained at its original location since inception. The Club, as one of the nation's best private clubs has been recognized as a five-star Platinum Club. The membership enjoys first class facilities including golf, tennis, wellness, youth, pool, food and beverage service, with each area led by an experienced and talented group of managers and professionals. Special event and private dining space include a ballroom and eight private dining rooms with seating ranging from 10 to 1500. Member dining consists of a family grille & patio (85 seats), adult casual dining (50 seats), men’s dining (45 seats), ladies den (24 seats), terrace, bar and dining room (85 seats), pool grille and golf halfway house (in season). The Club serves a very active membership of over 1200 families. The Southern Estate style Clubhouse was recently re-decorated and renovated with plans for significant facility expansions to take place in the next 5 years.
The candidate must possess experience in the banquet area and cooking techniques, as well as management/supervisor experience. A la carte experience is a plus. We are looking for an individual that creates a learning environment for all Kitchen Team Members that promotes culinary sales, service success, and internal career growth. As well as ensuring the safety, cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen by maintaining standards through proper supervision and training. The sous chef position will require the candidate to be involved in writing menus, developing specials, opening and closing duties as well as managing the banquet department. We are looking for a highly motivated energetic and team oriented individual. A respectful and professional appearance and demeanor are essential as you represent a “Platinum Club” and team of employees, highly respected in the local and Club Community. This position will report to the Executive Chef.
