This position is an onboard position. Candidate will live onboard the boat in the assigned crew areas. They will be on a 12-week on/4-week off rotation, meaning they will live entirely on the vessel for 12 weeks (including weekends), then have 4 weeks off. This position requires a clean background and drug screen. Our company prides itself on customer service, professionalism, and neat appearance. Candidates with previous cruise industry experience and four-star service experience are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - The following are essential functions of the job but are not all-inclusive

Partner well with all departments

Inspect pre-opening progress and direct/assist as needed to ensure that all food operations meet or exceed standards and passenger expectations

Responsible for supervision and administration of the line cooks on a daily basis

Ensure that all Galley departments are always in full compliance with all company, USCG, and Federal Drug Administration rules and regulations at all times

Attend shift meetings and attend inter-departmental meetings

Ensure that all food and beverage related specifications and presentations are adhered to, together with the General Manager, Executive Chef, Bar Steward, and Maitre d' onboard the vessel

Daily attention to all cost control systems

Review daily work schedules for shift to ensure optimum efficiency

Meet and exceed passenger expectations by ensuring departments provide "Yes, I Can!" service

Maintain compliance with the company grooming and uniform standards

Demonstrate a management style conducive to exceeding standards and maximizing crew retention

Responsible for assisting with all mandated inventories and orders

Participate and ensure participation of all USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed

Other duties as directed


High school diploma

3 years' experience in full-service culinary operations

Experience in supervision and training of employees

Proficient in the use of personal computers

Cruise industry experience preferred

Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted


Outside conditions, extreme heat

Marine operation subject to varied wake and motion

Living onboard the boat in close quarters with fellow co-workers for 12-weeks at a time

Ability to maneuver tight quarters of the boat including many stairs, crew areas, engine room, and rooms without windows

Moderate noise level
