Position Summary: Critigen is looking for a Spatial Enterprise Architect with project management and business and technical architecture skills, along with an understanding of current and future geospatial technologies, standards, architectures, and spatial data infrastructures. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing spatial enterprise architecture and business analysis support to a wide range of disciplines, in order to support implementation and alignment of enterprise spatial solutions with organizational goals, objectives, business processes, and IT standards and protocols.. Applicants must have good communications skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, ability to work directly with senior representatives of client organizations, and perform work on time and within budget. This position is located in Chantilly, VA. Basic Qualifications: Education: BA/BS in Geography, GIS, Planning, Natural Resources, Engineering or related field Years of Experience: 5-10 Primary Skills:
Domain experience working with federal agencies, including the Department of Defense
Communicate thoughts, ideas, and information of a technical nature in a logical, organized, coherent and persuasive manner
Demonstrates the initiative in seeking out work, new responsibilities and work challenges.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment to successfully deliver quality projects
Displays responsible positive behaviors for consistency, predictability and reliability at work to complete assignments and meet deadlines
Outgoing with excellent communication skills and the proven confidence to interface directly with clients at the executive as well as senior technical echelons, including the ability to facilitate dialog and structured meetings with senior representatives of client organizations
Thorough knowledge of geospatial technology, science and basic knowledge of complementary subject matter areas.
Understands the basic objectives of the subject area and related regulatory and/or industry requirements
Commensurate experience working with Esri software, specifically the ArcGIS suite (ArcCatalog, ArcMap, ArcToolbox) Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in applying spatial IT to the Department of Defense facilities and/or environmental management missions
Ability to apply and implement enterprise architecture frameworks including the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and/or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
Ability to document client organization business processes (as-is and to-be) using industry standard business process modeling standards such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
Ability to prepare geospatial database conceptual and logical designs, using a variety of office automation and other tools.
