Job Description:
The EHS Manager will primarily be responsible for implementing the Frontier Corporate Safety Program and OSHA requirements in our Central Region, including the States of MN, WI, IL, OH, IA and NE. The Manager will also develop targeted programs for identified needs at specific locations, and report in to the Corporate Director of EHS. Responsibilities include implementation of regulatory requirements and adherence to risk management principles with respect to Safety, Health, Environmental, DOT, and Fleet Driver Safety; Training; Accident Investigation; Worker Comp. Reporting; recordkeeping; OSHA logs; SARA Tier II reporting; and field auditing. Must have excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and oral communications skills are necessary, and the ability to interact with Regional Operations Management in an effective manner. Must be team oriented.
Level of Education : Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a safety related field. Safety Certifications a plus, including First Aid/CPR/AED, Defensive Driving, Bucket truck operations, CSP, CUSP.
Years of Experience : Minimum of 5 years experience in the Safety Profession, preferably in telecommunications, cable, utility or construction industries.
Travel: Some travel required, primarily in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
