Position Title: Special Events Manager

Position Classification: Exempt

Position Lo cation: Minnesota Chapter

Basic Function:
Responsible for managing and implementing multiple campaigns or projects for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Minnesota Chapter. Supervise volunteers and other campaign staff.

Work Direction:
Works under the supervision, direction and training of the Chapter Executive Director to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop implementation plans for assigned special events including budgets, timelines, logistics, and cultivation plans as assigned.

Prepare and/or coordinate communication and records to cultivate, retain and recognize media, in-kind and cash sponsorships.

Prepare and/or coordinate the development of all materials required for the successful implementation of assigned special events including recruitment/promotional flyers and brochures, invitations, posters, training materials, pledge retrieval or motivational materials, etc.

Responsible for supporting volunteers required to implement assigned special events.

Maintain and expand target audiences and implements assigned marketing tactics to successfully recruit, acknowledge, and retain event donors/participants.

Coordinate promotional activities to ensure the success of events and enhanced public awareness of LLS and its mission.

Coordinate and maintain assigned campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports as needed and facilitates campaign records, evaluations and reports.

Assist, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.

Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and its programs to address them.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Good computer skills (word processing and database programs)

Minimum preferred education - Bachelor's Degree.

1-3 or more years fund raising and communications, sales, or marketing experience.
