The Special Projects Coordinator will coordinate and perform projects and administer and promote educational programs for the GW Cancer Institute, specifically for the National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center and the Center for the Advancement of Cancer Survivorship, Navigation and Policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education,training and experience
-One to three years of experience

Desired Qualifications:
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.

-Ability to exercise independent judgment and liaise with university departments.

-Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time.

-Ability to coordinate groups of stakeholders to achieve program goals.

-Experience performing literature reviews and implementing qualitative research methods.

-Experience with program implementation and evaluation.

Job Duties

Function:
Coordinates implementation of educational programs and training of the GWCI Online Academy; The National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center; and the Center for the Advancement of Cancer Survivorship, Navigation and Policy. Coordinates national in-person meetings and trainings for health care professionals

Function:
Implements targeted e-newsletters for multiple stakeholders, including identification of appropriate content, database growth and maintenance and communication with stakeholders. Implements and monitors communications plan to increase visibility of the institute’s Center for the Advancement of Cancer Survivorship, Navigation and Policy.
Support implementation of monthly webinars for health care providers

Function:
Conduct regular community outreach to promote programs and communicate with local stakeholders. Lead program evaluation efforts for select programs through consultation with senior staff and participants, course observation, review of reports and participant performance and development of plans and strategies for program improvement.

Function:
Other special projects,including basic desktop research, administrative grants support, logistical support, presentation support and small projects.
