Summary

The Specialist, Grants & Contract USP will support Deputy Director, Grants & Contracts in all proposal/development efforts, set-up/ closeout, and implementation processes of grants and contracts USP wide. They will assist Deputy Director, Grants and Contracts USP/MEE to ensure efficient grant processes as well as overall organization and management of US based grants and contracts. The Specialist will play a key component in ensuring donor compliance by working with staff throughout USP.

Responsibilities

Proposal Development , assist with drafting budgets, budget narratives, Contract and Grant Review System process, maintain and track proposals

Grant Set Up , update Grant Management tracking sheets, communicate updates, draft Award Authorization Database

Donor Invoicing and Reporting , draft and review donor invoices and financial reports, creation and tracking of grant match plans, reporting as needed

Record Retention , mangement of grant hard copy and electronic files, maintain all relevant grant information

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or related field required.

3 plus years experience in Finance or Accounting required

3-5 years of grants management experience preferred

Ability to support vision of accountability and compliance

Ability to assist in effecting operations to support Agency strategy

Strong training ability

Computer skills, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, facility with databases
