This entry level position partners with the US based field sales organization providing assistance with contract management, rate request & bid management activities, sales reporting, presentation preparation and transportation cost analysis.


Key Accountablilites / Duties:
  • Assist in contract management, rate request and bid activities
  • Provide reports detailing transportation cost analysis
  • Run reports and transportation cost analyses
  • Business development
  • Under close supervision, responsible for limited business development activities, including prospecting and securing new business opportunities, qualifying potential accounts, sales lead follow-up and the management of a small portfolio of customers
  • CRM updates and other administrative duties such as preparation of presentations, data gathering, pipeline reviews, etc.
Key Results:
  • Deliver territory support for each Account Manager by managing rate quotes, providing performance reports, developing presentations
  • Manage single-trade bids and monitoring multi-trade bids
  • Manage small to mid-size accounts that do not require face-to-face representation
  • Work with Account Manager to transition accounts that develop into a high-potential account
  • Develop new business from general pool of unassigned accounts or in concert with specific market campaigns using data
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1+ year of sales and/or customer service experience required
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office with emphasis in Excel
  • Proven ability to identify and communicate risk and jeopardy situations
  • Capability to interact and communicate effectively with mutli-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with CRM application maintenance or operations in support of software applications
  • Proven customer service skill are required
  • Ability to prioritze tasks based on input from internal and external customers
  • Understanding of International Trade/Business desired
