Within TXU Energy, the Specialist II, Performance Management job function has been created to lead major strategic initiatives designed to deliver or exceed enterprise objectives regarding acquisition of prospects, retention of existing base and financial value optimization. Specialist II will be responsible for identifying such opportunities across all functional areas (strategy, marketing, sales channels, operations and billing), evaluating initiative potential, leading approval with senior leadership, overseeing implementation and establishing effective and transparent performance tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
Provide thought leadership and lead discussions with senior management regarding residential market strategy, including evaluation of market positioning, existing portfolio management and growth opportunities
Lead cross-functional peer teams through deep dive analytical projects regarding customer acquisition, retention and revenue enhancement opportunities
Develop and implement relevant performance framework and associated tracking, with objective of providing guidance on how current initiatives are performing as well as identifying new opportunities
Develop business case justification and lead approval process with senior leadership for new opportunities, campaign tactics, revenue opportunities and IT functionality
Coordinate across functions to oversee initial implementation of approved opportunities and transition into business as usual management with appropriate stakeholder(s)
Manage organizational learning agenda regarding key market strategy questions to address, establishing timeline and ownership for in market testing and reporting, and gaining alignment across all functional areas.
Develop and manage ongoing process to funnel market learnings and observations from across functional areas, including market research, operations, sales channels and others, into ongoing strategy discussions
The minimum education requirements are:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field strongly preferred.
MBA or other related advanced degree beneficial.
Relevant professional certification(s) a plus.
The minimum experience requirements are:
7+ years related professional work experience
7+ years developing and analyzing large-scale customer information systems or processes
3+ years experience with customer facing and project management methods required
3+ years in a strategy consulting and/or market analysis role; strong analytical background
Knowledge of Operations systems, policies, and procedures
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
Occasional long, irregular hours
Operating in a fast-paced professional office environment
Travel to vendor and supplier locations; occasional overnight travel.
Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone over 4 hours a day
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and/or reaching to access job-related materials
Occasionally lifts/moves up to 40 lbs.
Responsible for leading cross-functional work teams within TXU Energy, External Business Partners and Regulatory workgroups with the goal to greatly improve work processes related to TXU retail customer retention and growth. Serves as a SME and provides guidance and work direction to team members. Works under minimal supervision.
