The Talent Acquisition Specialist will influence attraction, selection and hiring decisions using acute business acumen and organizational knowledge, combined with solid expertise of the labor market. This role is responsible for developing and executing hiring plans and partnering closely with site leaders to efficiently fill vacancies with internal and external talent, utilizing best practices in full life-cycle recruitment, including effective use of third party agencies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides strategic advice on Talent Acquisition to business leaders and aligns strategies with the business unit goals. Participates in leadership meetings to increase knowledge and ability to differentiate Amylin from key competitors.
Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to achieve excellence in metrics focused on quality of hire, time to fill and diversity.
Leverage resources to achieve high levels of performance and improve operational effectiveness.
Creates and manages specific talent pipeline for Ohio Manufacturing to acquire best in class talent.
Analyzes recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement and to ensure the achievement of desired goals.
Ensures recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with EEO guidelines and regulations, ensures all transactions in the recruitment process are in compliance with Amylin policies and practices.
Accountable for the talent acquisition strategy and execution, stakeholder collaboration, colleague relationships, candidate management and third-party partnerships to deliver desired results.
Provide other HR assistance with assigned departments in matters relating to compensation for hourly and salary personnel.
Provide input into development and refinement of corporate HR policy and program development.
Perform all responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and appropriate industry and regulatory standards, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Provide backup support for the HR Department head as needed; and other duties as needed.
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience in Human Resources, specifically in the Recruiting function. HR certification a plus.
Prior experience in manufacturing or life sciences recruiting highly preferred.
Minimum of 6 years professional experience in a talent acquisition, talent management or human resources role, including 4 years in a direct recruitment role.
Prior success in developing and executing comprehensive hiring plans.
Fluency in Taleo or similar applicant tracking systems and online sourcing networks is required.
Strong contracting and consulting skills with hiring managers and leadership is required. Proven experience in assessing and selecting exceptional talent for the business.
Capable of making decisions based on interpretation of procedures and regulations. Strong analytical, problem solving and technical writing skills necessary. Requires experience working with all levels of the organization.
Up to 20% travel required
Frequently use a computer keyboard, PDA or other electronic devices.
Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at volume levels consistent with interpersonal or group conversations. Ability to interpret the letters and numbers when viewed on a personal computer screen, PDA, reports and other documents.
