Provides library acquisition services as well as general library support services for the community college library. Selects books and other library collection materials. Orders resources, supplies and equipment for use of library users and staff. Performs all functions associated with the acquisition of library resources and equipment. Oversees library budget. Monitors all library account activities and payment of library invoices. Provides assistance in public service areas of the library, including circulation, reference, and answering basic computer questions. Supports general College activities, as requested.

Will work at the Chester campus. Schedule will generally be from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday-Friday; some evenings or nights until 9 pm, or, Saturdays, may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with the public preferred. Basic Word and Excel skills required; Access preferred. Ability to maintain accurate financial records. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.

Special Requirements
*All full-time classified employees new to the Commonwealth of Virginia will serve a 12 month probationary period.
