While acting independently, this QC position is responsible for the maintenance and documentation of specialized laboratory equipment and instruments. Specific responsibilities include planning, performing, and documenting preventative and corrective maintenance as well as participating in instrument validation. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment/instrument problems and initiating and/or implementing changes in controlled documents. Employee must learn and comply with safety guidelines and cGMPs/CFRs which includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance of training records, instrument and equipment records, laboratory notebooks, laboratory log books, and written procedures. Employee will attend and participate in functional/departmental meetings. |
• Doctoral degree
• Master’s degree & 3 years of directly related experience
Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of directly related experience
Associate’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience
• High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience
-Degree in Life Sciences or other scientific field and 5 + years of Lab experience in Life Sciences
-5 + years experience in a regulated GMP or GLP environment
-Able to successfully manage workload to timelines
-Candidates should demonstrate the ability to operate specialized equipment and computers as appropriate to the individual area, and understand, apply, and evaluate basic chemistry, biology, physical, and mathematical principles.
