Summary: Assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, swallowing and other related disorders.
Responsibilites: Teach patient augmentative or alternative communication methods such as automated devices and sign language. Act as a liaison between patient/family and homecare personnel to ensure necessary care is provided promptly and effectively.
Qualifications: A certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association is required along with a current licensure from the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work independently in the home care setting and demonstrate responsibility for self – direction. Must hold a current valid Drivers license.
