TITLE: Project Manager
REPORTS: Team Lead, Spend Visibility
BUSINESS UNIT: Spend Visibility
The Project Manager’s primary function is to manage simultaneous projects related to Ariba’s data enrichment and hosted Spend Visibility service offerings. Typically, these will involve multiple client relationships. The Project Manager will be responsible for informing customers about the execution process; setting expectations about their involvement; identifying and planning project scope and parameters; monitoring project progress against an established project timeline; measuring the progress of a project against set goals, timelines and objectives; providing proactive visibility to the Ariba customer team regarding deployment progress; and evaluating project outcomes. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating Ariba’s resources required completing a project.
· Develops overall project plan including timeline, scope of work, work breakdown structure and associated deliverables
· Executes project plan according to established timeline
· Trains Clients on Ariba processes and tools
· Facilitates team interactions to reach consensus
· Communicates project progress to team at regular intervals
· Delegates tasks and deliverables to appropriate Ariba resources and ensure that these tasks and deliverables are completed according to project timeline
· Monitors project progress and proactively manage potential timeline/deliverable issues
· Measures project progress against Client expectations and established timeline; assess issues and implement countermeasures.
· Evaluates and continuously improve Ariba’s tools and process
· All other duties as assigned
· Manage the Ariba Enrichment and Spend Visibility offerings for customers; periodic travel (10%-25%) may be required, but is typically known in advance
· Oversee data collection process
· Instruct the client team (Business & IT) on the data schema; define the schema business requirements so it can be mapped to the correct information in the customer’s systems
· Review the client mapping progress and identify issues and assist in resolution (recommendations / alternatives)
· Receive client data, validate data internally with the Ariba Data Enrichment Manager (ADES Manager) and review the data summary with the client for final validation with the ADES Manager
· Oversee the cleansing process with the ADES Manager
· Coordinate with IT resources for site set-up and deployment, including internal database set-up and external site set-up
· Coordinate with IT resources for data processing and deployment
· Manage refresh process iterations
· Coordinate client instruction and training
· Bachelor’s degree
· 3+ years project management experience
· Strong analytical thinking in both technical and commercial matters
· Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office / Project / Access / Power Point
· Strong customer management and presentation skills
· Ability to communicate with diverse cross-functional teams
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Methodical approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail
· Business, engineering, computer science or management information systems degree preferred
· Experience with Financial / Operational business systems analysis
· Strong knowledge of data flows and record layout of core data for ERP Accounts Payable, Purchase Order, Invoice and Purchasing modules
