Job Duties & Responsibilities
GEICO is seeking a .NET Developer to support development of a new policy system using Microsoft technologies. The well-rounded candidate will have experience developing code in a Microsoft environment and success within dynamic teams. Interact with other members of the development team and project managers in a positive manner to deliver on-time and above standard applications for our clients. Use knowledge of agile process methodologies to perform requirements gathering and documentation to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
Candidate Qualifications
Experience using Microsoft s Development Methodology (MSF)
Demonstrated experience working on highly collaborative teams
Experience with developing a system using TDD methodologies, including a solid
understanding of Inversion of Control and Dependency Injection
Experience with SOA/web services design and programming.
Experience developing with ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, and any type of Workflow
development (K2.Net, WF, etc).
At least 4+ years experience in C#, 3 Yrs in T-SQL
Additionally, experience with C# 3.0 or later and TDD is preferred.
A solid understanding of Microsoft Patterns and Practices, including the enterprise libraries.
Demonstrated track record maintaining technical currency and application to software design
and development
Use an iterative approach to complete project-based work.
Draw on at least three years of .NET development to create custom applications
Excellent communication skills.
Experience using Microsoft s Development Methodology (MSF)
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science
3-5 years of experience in object-oriented technologies to develop software applications.
Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:
Experience in the insurance industry
Experience migrating mainframe applications to a Microsoft Platform
MCSD, MCPD, MCAD certifications
