Senior Account Manager, eBay Advertising
eBay is turning its gold mine of first party shopping data into a platform for audience selling via RTB. You can be a defining part of this initiative as we build a display advertising product and sell our services to the biggest advertisers in the world using eBay's unique, first party data for 100M users. As part of this initiative, we are hiring a Sr Account Manager to lead our ad operations team from eBay's Brisbane, CA headquarters.
As a Senior Account Manager for eBay Advertising you will work closely with the eBay sales team to manage and optimize successful campaigns for our external ad clients. You will bring your RTB knowledge and experience on DMP/DSP platforms to execute advertiser campaigns, help define our products, and manage technology partner relationships. The right candidate will have several years of experience in digital media and thrive in an early stage environment.
Execute and own the success for eBay Advertising extended audience campaigns using Real Time Bidding (RTB) on one (or more) Demand Side Platforms (DSP) platforms.
Develop and recommend appropriate campaign strategies during the IO process, bringing insight from forecasting and past performance experiences.
Monitor daily campaign performance and optimize campaigns to ensure delivery and client return on investment.
Consistently communicate campaign performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations with external sales agencies and account managers
Initiate and manage inventory partner relationships
Provide technical troubleshooting as necessary. Resolve technical implementation issues as they arise and resolve in a timely way to ensure high level of client satisfaction.
Manage relationships with third party vendors as needed.
Provide campaign expertise to external Account Managers, Sales Reps, and internal product teams.
Provide feedback to inform the product roadmap regarding tools, features, and functionality.
Facilitate the monthly invoicing process and track revenue and margin metrics.
Help define process and procedures for scaling business operations.
Ad Agency or Account Management experience in the online media space, including RealTime Bidding (RTB).
Hands on campaign trafficking and optimization experience using Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) and Data Management Platforms (DMPs) or trading desks.
Experience managing campaigns on a variety of inventory sources (direct, ad networks, RTB) on a variety of DSPs or standard ad serving platforms.
Familiarity with and ability to compile and analyze campaign data and metrics.
Experience with A/B test strategies, multiple pricing models, targeting tactics, and ROI optimization strategies.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to multi-task.
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising or related field is required. Technical degree or intuitive skill set a plus.
3+ years Media experience in demand side Account Management or Ad Operations.
