CVS Caremark is one of the leading specialty pharmacies in the country dispensing or managing over $10B of specialty medications annually. The specialty drug pipeline is robust with several new drugs launching over the next several years. Continuing to be a leader in this space is one of the key fundamental priorities for CVS Caremark and the Trade organization is a critical stakeholder in which we will be responsible for getting access to drugs through either broad or limited distribution arrangements and selling in valued added services that differentiate us as a specialty pharmacy.
The primary responsibility of the Sr. Analyst is to provide marketing and sales support for the specialty trade team.
The senior analyst will help monitor activities associated with the specialty pipeline and coordinate and lead activities for manufacturer RFPs for new specialty launches. The senior analyst will also support negotiators in the development of marketing collateral and presentation support for key manufacturer meetings.
This position has the responsibility to:
1.1. Monitor, research and update all pipline products and therapeutic areas seeking DFA Approval; includes research on potential market valuations, impact on current market segmentation and therapeutic classes and business development analysis.
2.2. Receive and complete all manufacturer RFP’s and also coordinate appropriate responses from other departments to align with CVS Caremark’s strategies. RFP responses must adhere to internal and manufacturing timelines.
3. 3. Support the development of marketing awareness collateral, presentation decks, and other materials for use in the sale of services to pharmaceutical manufacturers by specialty trade. Support presentations to new and existing pharmaceutical manufacturers, as needed. Assist with coordination of the data analysis and reporting needs for manufacturer presentations.
4.4. Support specialty negotiators by assisting to prepare for any manufacturer meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other ongoing manufacturer projects.
5. 5. Complete other tasks as necessary such as, preparation for and participation in departement planning sessions designed to assess opportunities; develop specific strategies/tactics to maximize the value of manufacturer relationships; work with the Clinical Pipeline team to constantly discuss pipeline preoducts and their impact on the enterprise, etc.
Minimum of 6 years related work experience.
Ability to research and analyst data; interpret and communicate recommendations based on the data.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
