Responsible for leading development and improvement of pricing applications, tools, and processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Customer Pricing process. Strong focus on developing tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency for the pricing team and sales organization, and to improve selling gross margin. Monitors the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the pricing function; makes recommendations for improvement. This position is technical, but business focused; will be required to interpret business requirements for SAP system enhancements to technical resources that make system changes. This position is responsible for testing all SAP system updates prior to being placed into production to ensure seamless implementation and maintain contract customer pricing integrity. Job Responsibilities: •Develop, upgrade and maintain pricing applications, tools and processes with a strong emphasis placed on improving: the year end pricing transition, pricing contract review process, effective management of transportation terms, contract compliance monitoring, and general analytic capabilities.
•Responsible for proactive, compliant and successful management of pricing projects, standardized processes and tools.
•Develops and manages the project plan associated with annual and semi-annual customer price increases. Coordinates activities with Product Master Data, IS, and other functional areas to ensure customer price transitions occur on a timely basis and optimize sell-through pricing.
•Develops departmental and cross-functional training programs on the pricing applications and processes to help maximize resources and create operational synergies and consistency across geography through full adoption by all pricing teams.
•Works on a matrix basis with all pricing teams to establish pricing solutions and best practices in support of the business objectives.
•Business liaison with Technical resources. Communicate and document business needs. Influence appropriate prioritization of projects with the business and SAP development teams to ensure appropriate continued improvement of pricing capabilities.

•Maintain excellent relationships with Pricing team in all locations, and cross-functionally with Quotations, Contracts, Master Data, and Information Services

•Expert knowledge of techniques and tools utilized in functional design, data analysis, data flow diagramming, issue tracking, and documentation.
•Proficient in collecting and analyzing large data sets

•Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access, and SAP Qualifications: •BA or BS Degree - required
•5+ years of progressively complex experience with commercial analysis and/or distributor pricing, which includes requirements gathering, functional design, and working with business processes.
•2+ years experience managing projects that have high business visibility, strict deadlines, and multiple integration points across the organization.
•Laboratory Distribution experience – preferred
