Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive an important project in our Sensory Pillar which requires deep knowledge of optics and lasers. This person will lead a team of optics, firmware, and electrical engineers to develop a new way to interact with mobile devices.

What You’ll Do (but not limited to):
  • Design innovative, premium solutions that solve real-world problems
  • Act as a technical lead on the product design team
  • Apply cutting edge technology to new product ideas and develop IP to support the project
  • Demonstrate understanding of team objectives and contribute necessary electric/design knowledge
  • Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes and how products are made
  • Prototype, test, conduct design optimization and perform design validation
  • Communicate clearly with outside suppliers to effectively produce established project deliverables

What You Need (but not limited to):
  • 10+ years Electrical Engineer experience in a design role
  • Experience working with lasers, optics, and cameras for positioning and data capture
  • Experienced in analog and digital hardware design
  • Microprocessors: Freescale, Texas Instruments, National Semiconductor, Atmel, NXP
  • Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, OCR, and MSR
  • Wireless technology (WiFi, BLE) experience highly desired
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing
  • Solid understanding of mixed signal electronic design, PCB layout techniques and guidelines, and detailed prototype validation
  • Experience with Simulation and Layout Tools (Cadence, OrCAD, PSpice, Altium, PADS)
  • Knowledge of designing to meet regulatory/agency requirements (FCC, CE, RoHS)
  • Technical team leadership experience and ability to work independently to meet project goals
  • Consumer electronics design experience highly desired
  • Desire to push through the boundaries of traditional product design
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts elegantly to people who don’t have an engineering background
  • Able to set ego aside, roll up your sleeves, and work side-by-side with a talented team in a highly collaborative environment
  • Experience using product data management software a plus
  • Willingness to adapt and embrace change
  • Education: Minimum BSEE, MS highly desired
