The Talent Audit Group is responsible for managing a variety of audits as a result of third party contractual obligations. We promote innovation and growth by developing our employees and maintaining a fun environment. We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Senior Financial Analyst. This position offers a unique experience as the successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting the company’s interests with respect to audits conducted on behalf of third party talent and will work closely with senior management to successfully negotiate audit claims to an amicable resolution. Responsibilities include:
Performing account reconciliations supporting an audit of participation statements, guild payments or music royalty statements, including variance analyses.
Actively work with key stakeholders, finance teams and business affairs to improve effectiveness of participation accounting and to ensure that methodologies for accounting are explained and supported.
Coordinate the successful resolution of accounting related issues and questions affecting participation accounting.
Partner with various business units across the organization to support audit requests.
Communicate directly with third party auditors; provide audit support to resolve potential issues.
Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers.
Ad hoc analyses and special projects, including financial impact of potential audit claims, pro forma participation statements and analytical support in preparation of audit report responses to assist management in making sound business decisions.
Review audit reports and prepare initial response to audit findings for senior management review.
Be an active team partner by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and suggest improvements.
Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), strong analytical and organizational skills.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
3-5 years finance/accounting experience, public audit experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field of study.
