Senior ITS Administrator


The successful candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting wireless communication technologies and facilities including satellite, microwave, and point-to-point wireless radios in a security-conscious oil and gas environment. Additional specific qualifications include

Ability to effectively work with E&P and Midstream business units and stakeholders to scope out telecommunications system designs around business requirements with respect to corporate standards.

Effective communication skills in an enterprise team environment are required.

Proven skills in troubleshooting and maintaining wireless and satellite telecommunications systems and facilities in an oil and gas business environment. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required with the ability to work closely with and alongside other team members.

Must be able to effectively multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment..

Required Skills

Develop written cost and ROI proposals for major wireless infrastructure projects and present to business teams.

Extensive knowledge with terrestrial communications technologies including but not limited to Motorola/Cambium PTP & PMP radios, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco WLAN Controllers, Cisco routers and switches, Monitoring Software, and terrestrial wireless facilities.

Working knowledge of Ka, Ku and C band satellite telecommunications technologies and microwave systems on offshore facilities required.

Proven hands-on experience with Network and Wireless design and configuration.

Working knowledge of licensed and unlicensed technologies including 11 GHz, 5.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 900 MHz, 450 MHz, DSSS, FSSS, and OFDM.

Working knowledge of Cisco switching/routing and security products and protocols required.


Develop written cost and ROI proposals for major wireless infrastructure projects and present to business teams.

Support and analysis of existing wireless, satellite and/or microwave sites in a Cisco IP\VOIP environment.

Produce RF studies and path analysis and recommend telecommunication and networking solutions for off-shore and on-shore locations.

Manage all aspects of terrestrial telecommunication systems in a mobile-work-force environment including structured cabling/fiber, facilities, physical security, network security, electrical power and IP network.

Manage FCC license compliance and FAA correspondence.


High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Math & Science strongly preferred; Master of Science degree considered a plus.


Certifications in networking or telecommunications technologies are desirable.


This position is/is not eligible for domestic or international relocation.

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 25 - 40%

Work Schedule

This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
