The Senior Key Account Manager, National Retail is responsible for building and executing HTC strategy to grow share within our national retail partners at an elevated level. This position requires strong alignment with key stakeholders internally within HTC and the national retailers. The successful candidate is a person who understands the wireless industry and the role that National Retail plays with the eco system sales of smartphones, accessories, and carrier rate plans. This individual must have the strategic vision to drive HTC business forward with consistent collaboration and planning between retailer/carrier, life cycle management of all HTC Product, a strong understanding of margins and value proposition, as well as the ability to execute and develop marketing assets with drive time promotions that show positive return on investment.

Responsibilities :
  • Achieve sales targets on a quarterly/annual basis
  • Assess industry trends, customer preference, economic indicators, and supplier information to capture new business opportunities and expand market share for HTC
  • Develop and execute marketing promotions, and HTC dedicated merchandising designed to increase brand awareness and achieve sales objectives
  • Identify Senior Key account stakeholders and develop regular cadence including Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Manage distribution partnerships and relationships with key big box National Retailers Vendors such as BrightStar, Brightpoint, etc
  • Understand and manage the carrier, retailer, and HTC process for all facets of partnership investment strategy and metrics including commissions
  • Develop Life Cycle Planning that incorporates strong return on HTC Investment focusing on product margin
  • Maintain weekly marketing/merchandising calendar with National Retail account
  • Request, own, develop, and manage Budget for National Retail account quarterly
  • Work cross functionally with all channels within HTC including both Sales and Marketing
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
  • This person must be an entrepreneurial executive who thrives in a fast-moving environment and understands how to build an organization for the long term (proven experience is a must)
  • 7+ years of related professional experience within the field of telecommunications
  • Must have a proven record of customer development, relationship management, retail operations and sales
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with selling into national retail both marketing & sales
  • The ideal candidate has a reputation of collaborative management style, possessing the art of bringing team members and resources together quickly and effectively to produce win-win results. This takes particular skill in sales, consensus building, arbitration, and project management, making these essential requirements for the position
  • It is imperative to have exceptional presentation and written communication skills
  • Consistent Industry Experience and Corporate Acumen
  • This position will need an astute cultural sensitivity and the flexibility and aplomb to work effectively within a globally-run environment
  • Experience in managing a sales team
  • The ability and willingness to travel 30-40% of your time
  • BA/BS/Master’s degree preferred
