Job Description:
World Fuel Services is a successful fast-growth global
company that is established in the market as a great
company to come and work for. We recruit externally
about 400 positions a year (globally), from hourly to
Executive level, primarily full-time non-hourly
positions. There is an established centralized
recruiting team with 5 full-time members in Miami, with
a reasonable degree of efficiency and automation already
in place. Our HR Business Partners work actively with
the business to support their hiring requests and all of
our divisions comply with the established processes.
The Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition will view this
ongoing operation with a large “captive demand” as an
opportunity to elevate the level of our recruiting
function and transform it into a Center of Excellence
that functions as for-profit search firm that happens to
be in-house. .

The general mandate for this position includes:
  • Working “upstream”, with the different functions and
HR Business Partners, in the strategic planning of
future headcount requirements and providing advice on
sourcing strategies
  • Designing and implementing a highly developed
candidate sourcing capability, especially by leveraging
our internal SRM and CRM information to create a
database of candidates from our own industry to fill
current and future pipelines.
  • Managing specific performance metrics and SLA’s for
internal delivery that ensure high quality of hires as
well as customer satisfaction
  • Shaping our “recruiting presence” and value
proposition to the market
  • Maximizing the “yield” from different internal and
external recruiting channels and managing the associated
  • Managing the P&L of recruiting as if it were a
stand-alone profit-making entity
  • Exploring revenue-generating potential by pricing
services internally and offering recruiting and/or
outplacement service to selected group of

Specific responsibilities for this position include:
Headcount Planning
  • In collaboration with the HRBP, immersion in the
Company’s annual strategy setting, planning and budget
process to understand future headcount requirements and
workforce planning needs.
  • As the organization evolves and new positions are
created, participate in the “upstream” design providing
insight about market talent pools, compensation levels,
likely sources etc.
Process Excellence
  • Evaluate end-to-end existing process for profiling,
sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting and
on-boarding. Improve/adapt process where appropriate.
  • Establish Service Level Agreements, and metrics for
measuring performance; i.e., time to fill, quality of
hire, cost of hire, etc.
  • Put in place creative solutions to optimize the
management of recruiting loads and maximize the yield
from different channels such as internal referrals, job
boards, contingency search, retained search, etc
  • Liaise with Business Partners to establish timelines
and quality standards for on-boarding upon acceptance of
offers so that the successful candidate experience is
seamless from first contact to first day on board
  • Establish efficient and regular reporting with data
and analytics
External Relations and Vendor Management
  • Liaise with various sources including industry
associations and educational institutions to ensure
access to top talent
  • Stay abreast of compliance, EEOC, immigration and
legal issues associated with recruiting and counsel
hiring managers on such
  • Establish a strategy to effectively utilize agencies,
search firms and other vendors developing preferred
provider arrangements and partnerships where appropriate
Financial Excellence
  • Manage all revenues and costs associated with the
recruiting function as a for-profit operation
Information and Technology Solutions
  • Manage the automation of the recruiting function,
including database design and process management
  • Develop innovative solutions to leverage our own
internal CRM and SRM systems to develop an internal
pipeline of potential candidates from the industry
Team Management
  • Ensure that team is right-sized to support the volumes
of recruiting and that resources are flexibly scalable
(up or down) in accordance with evolving needs
  • Manage a team to high-performance expectations and
quality standards

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have experience managing a
Talent Acquisition function, preferably with combined
experience as a Manager in an in-house Corporate
Recruiting environment.
Culturally, the candidate must be highly bottom-line
oriented, a proactive partner with the business and with
a real affinity for a fast-paced, results oriented
entrepreneurial environment

  • A Bachelors degree in Business or related discipline;
MBA is a plus.
  • Five plus years experience leading recruiting
functions in a multinational company.
  • A better- than-average understanding of technology
solutions and the demonstrated ability to creatively
lever technology to enhance the effectiveness of a
recruiting function.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills oral and
  • At ease working in a global, multicultural environment
and ability to interact effectively with individuals at
all levels in the organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills – must be
task-oriented and be able to work with tight deadlines
and multiple details. Must be fast paced and ability to
handle high volumes of activity at one time.
  • Complete fluency in English (oral and written)
  • Professional presence and absolute integrity
  • Experience with international sourcing ideally in
Europe and/or Asia
  • Some international experience and an international
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus
