Overview: Within a dynamic team environment, this position is responsible for driving strategy development and execution and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) at a global level for Ingram Micro. Ingram Micro’s Worldwide Strategy & Corporate Development team works with various global executives to develop corporate and divisional strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, and help drive and implement growth initiatives through acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and green field projects. This is an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance skills in strategy, finance, and mergers and acquisitions while gaining valuable industry and business experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic: Assist in the conceptualization, proposal, and development of strategic initiatives or special projects, support the company’s strategic planning process, write business plans including the operational plan, support business units with market data and strategic advice, conduct trend analysis and industry and competitor assessment, propose and evaluate growth opportunities

Mergers and Acquisitions: Support the entire M&A process including market research, target identification and research of potential targets, valuation and financial analysis, creating opportunity-specific due diligence checklists and working with various constituencies to attain and analyze diligence data, assisting in the integration of acquisitions, monitoring performance of and assist in growing newly acquired businesses

Financial/Quantitative: Develop complex financial models to value opportunities, conduct sensitivity analysis, provide analytical support on various ad hoc projects (techniques to include DCF, IRR, ROIC, ROWC), build top-down and bottom-up financial models of private companies, public companies and green field opportunities

Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special corporate strategic and financial projects as needed; assist with writing presentations for the Board of Directors

Education: MBA degree from top university (with < 4 years experience out of MBA program) and / or CFA.

Experience: 5-10 years of total experience including experience in strategy, M&A; background from top strategy consulting firm / investment banking / corporate development department of a Fortune 500 company.

Skills/Technical Requirements:
Must be a strategic thinker and possess excellent research and analytical skills and be able to develop specific analysis and action plans to execute strategic plans

Ability to source and review information from disparate sources and to distill the information into key takeaways (must be well versed with online research tools)

Ability to identify fundamental business drivers and risks to those drivers

Must possess excellent financial and quantitative skills, be very comfortable with financial statement analysis

Perform complex modeling, valuation experience using discounted cash flows, comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions, and sum-of-parts

Comfortable with using various data sources including Bloomberg, CapitalIQ and public company filings with regulatory bodies

Excel, PowerPoint, Word required, Microsoft Access preferred

Skilled in writing business plans and presentations and in making presentations to senior management; possess solid communication skills

Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively within a flat team structure and also lead internal and external teams when necessary, be comfortable with change in a fast-paced environment, be proactive, be able to work with senior management, and possess excellent interpersonal skills with all levels

Technology, consumer electronics, and distribution; international experience a plus

Travel: < 10%
