Role:
The Senior Manager of Client Marketing Communications is responsible for managing the relationships of various agencies and helping to implement plans for the client cross-sell and segmentation strategy. This role will direct multiple agency resources, functions, processes and staff, supporting multiple business units and company-wide functional disciplines. This position will participate in agency management planning and budgeting along with leading all creative projects directly related to Long-term Investors and Education marketing for client-driven communications.

Responsibilities:
Direct all creative projects for Long-term Investor and Education related client communications

Support the Marketing Communications team on driving the brand strategy and managing the brand’s guidelines and consistency

Calls for a strong strategic thinker that understands the business objectives to help drive a measurable creative product to meet those goals

Manage overall agency relationships, budgets and workflow

Promote and sell ideas persuasively, project a positive professional image, work through conflicts, work effectively under stress, understand political realities and operate independently to respond to change and ambiguity

Work with direct reports to ensure all client marketing related creative projects are within budget, on strategy and delivered on time

Motivate and empower direct reports through nurturing commitment, promoting collaboration and rewarding achievement

Communicate clearly and regularly with internal lines of business regarding projects, timelines and possible issues

Liaison between the client marketing agency, internal studio and the internal lines of business

Communicate regularly with the Director on all project issues relating to workflow and creative/production

Deliver clear and well-organized presentations and deliver opportunities to create more process efficiency

Provide subject matter expertise to business partners regarding the creative and production process

Multi-task various creative projects, budgets, agencies and business unit needs

Set reasonable expectations in terms of time and cost of deliverables

Work with business partners in building strategic direction

Work with direct reports to ensure clear understanding and direction for the retail segment strategy for the long-term investor and education businesses. Including the business objectives, product/service offering, and targeting to help direct reports write and present the creative brief and communications strategy to the agency

Assess agency creative with strong strategic thinking and help teach direct reports how to inspire strong creative through briefs and agency relationship management

Work with the agency and internal partners to refine the processes and timelines for executing campaigns; manage the agency and internal partners to adhere to the process and schedule

Review the work strategically and with a critical, creative eye

Direct team on how to split up project work to best manage all resources available

Clarity to senior team and internal partners regarding resourcing issues/concerns and fiscal management

Provide open, clear and honest feedback and address performance problems with

seasoned resolution skills adapt style to various circumstances.

Manage staff of FTEs and understand organizational structure to help drive greater efficiency and strong team dynamic

Understand and translate key indicators to team success through both performance metrics and financial indicators.

Utilize analysis of data to evaluate strategic options. Establish aggressive goals and create accountability for results.

Share trends that impact the group and adapt the operation of the team to organizational changes.

Partner with internal data, analysis, research and reporting teams to identify opportunities to increase campaign success, cross-sell potential.

Manage agency budgets and resourcing

Link to all internal team hand-offs including production, operations and in-house studio

Help drive quarterly business review with agency partners

Align projects to maximize team workflow

Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

4 year college degree in Mass Communication, Brand Management, Marketing, or Business preferred

5-7 years related experience

Strong project management skills with attention to detail

Strong strategic and creative thinking

Agency Management

Ability to persuasively present creative concepts and recommendations
