Position Summary : Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Business Process Management (BPM), the Sr. Manager Business Process Design directly supports the implementation a nd improvement of BPM best practices for call centers a nd operational functions in Health Services with the goal of driving process repeatability a nd improvement through efficient process design a nd a nalysis. The position manages the implementation a nd improvement of best practices for the design, a nalysis, documentation, a nd improvement of core a nd management business processes. The position employees a dvanced process design a nd a nalysis tools such a s process simulation / optimization a nd statistical a nalysis methods to drive a nd test a lternative designs.
The position seeks to uncover business process improvement needs including enhancements in standardized process design, process performance monitoring, reporting, a nd process a nalysis a nd ensures that efficient process design a nd a nalysis a re included in corporate a nd project system design a nd implementations.
The Sr. Manager Business Process Design works closely with project staff in varied locations a nd corporate teams to ensure that best practices a nd standards a re being a ppropriately a pplied a nd producing the intended results. The position mentors other staff on the proper use of a nalysis methods, tools, a nd practices a nd is responsible for ensuring that complex process models a nd other documentation a re presented to clients a nd stakeholders in a clear a nd non-technical manner. The position is expected to travel up to 50% of their time.
Education Required :
Bachelor's degree in a technology related field, e.g., Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences, Management Information Sciences or related field.
Education Preferred :
Master's degree in a technology related field, e.g., Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences, Management Information Sciences or related field.
Technical Skills/Knowledge Required:
BPM disciplines a nd tools to drive efficient process design a nd improvement
Deep understanding a rticulating processes in standards-based modeling languages, especially BPMN a nd XPDL
Business process a nd simulation modeling including observation a nd subject matter expert interviewing techniques, model verification a nd model validation methods
Subject Matter Expertise/Experience:
5+ years of successful a pplication of BPM disciplines a nd tools to drive efficient process design a nd improvement5+ years of experience a nd deep understanding a rticulating processes in standards-based modeling languages, especially BPMN a nd XPDL
5+ years of successful hands-on implementation of business process a nd simulation modeling including observation a nd subject matter expert interviewing techniques, model verification a nd model validation methods
5+ years of successfully leading the use of a nalytical thinking, methods a nd tools including relevant statistical forecasting methods, to resolve problems
3+ years experience working with a nd leading teams.
Subject Matter Expertise/ Experience Preferred:
Experience with government sponsored health care programs a nd operations
Provide guidance, background information, a nd a ssistance to operations management a nd other staff on the interpretation a nd effective use of BPM models focuses on effective process design in operational, i.e., non - technical language.
Design efficient business processes using BPM disciplines a nd tools.
Collaborate with other members of the BPM team to identify enhancement needs to existing models a nd established BPM best practices.
Collaborate with operations management a nd systems management to ensure effective process design is incorporated into corporate a nd project systems design a nd implementations.
Support integration of BPM principles in strategic initiatives a t the regional a nd corporate levels.
Lead teams in the a bstraction of existing a nd future business processes into logical process models to identify the strengths a nd weaknesses of a lternative solutions, conclusions or a pproaches to problems
A nalyze business processes to develop simulation a nd/or optimization models designed to further understanding of the behavior of processes
Write a nd make presentations to clients, often requiring clear a nd persuasive explanation of complex processes to a non-technical a udience.
Effectively supervisor a nd mentor other a nalysts on the BPM team.
Strong facilitation a nd relationship management skills. Must be a ble to elicit requirements from various personalities a cross organizational boundaries a nd be effective a t a ll organizational levels; users, team members a nd management
A nalyze data a nd other information in order to conceptualize a nd define operational problems a nd/or improvement opportunities.
