Summary of Position Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for providing best in class metrics and reporting within the Global Relationship Management (GRM) organization supporting the in-market activities of the Relationship Managers (RM), as well as the broader informational needs of the GRM leadership team.
The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of metrics, analysis and reporting for the GRM team including management reporting, activity and sales tracking for compensation purposes, input for executive reporting, as well as additional ad-hoc reporting as needed.
The Senior Consultant is responsible for identifying best practices, and utilizing to develop a suite of management reports that will help streamline decisions and processes within GRM as well as assist in the quick identification of required course corrections. Additionally, the Senior Consultant will have shared responsibility within the Account Management team for input to client level executive reporting shared with senior leadership.
The Senior Consultant is responsible for GRM reporting end to end, including creation, ongoing management, analysis, and reporting findings / outcomes to the GRM planning board.
Dimensions of Position:
This position will be responsible for delivering a suite of management reports that will provide transparency into sales production, marketplace activity, budget tracking, as well as additional elements supporting the sales goals of the Relationship Managers, as well as that of the broader GRM organization.
Principal Accountabilities of Position:
Responsible for the creation of a suite of management reports that will drive the efficient operation of the GRM team
Identifies best practices and recommends metrics to track, in addition understanding the operational environment of GRM in order to determine how best to measure, store, report and maintain data.
Develops strong working relationship with partner organizations (Finance, Marketing, MNS, Expat, GEB Center of Expertise, Regional Sales), and acts as the conduit for all operational and financial data requests both to and from GRM.
Reviews and translates transactional and operational data to provide high level reporting that speaks to the organizational health of GRM, providing analysis and recommendations to the GRM Planning Board.
Supports the GRM compensation models through the tracking of associated sales and non-sales performance in order to develop scorecards that allow for ranking and best practice identification.
Manages the GRM budget in conjunction with the Chief of Staff providing Planning Board updates and makes recommendations for efficiency gains and expense reduction.
Key contributor to the client level executive reporting process for senior leadership through the acquisition and interpretation of complex relationship information spanning multiple clients, products, distribution groups and locations.
Manages strategic projects that encompass both short and long term business planning.
Key contributor to the quarterly GRM Dedicated Business Review process ensuring all the accuracy of all information contained in the DBR and alignment with Finance and partner distribution organizations.
Manages ad-hoc client reporting both internally and externally.
Advanced knowledge of MetLife’s products, services and systems and the ability to strategically analyze the interaction of these products, services and systems on behalf of the client.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
This position has exposure to and requires the ability to work with and relate to all levels of the organization including senior management, other units within the GEB group, MetLife Regions and enterprise functions.
This position requires self-motivated, ambitious and dedicated individuals with the ability to proactively drive outcomes. Candidates must be analytical yet pragmatic with strong quantitative capabilities, business judgment, and a robust technical data management skills set. Candidates must possess a “can do” attitude: the ability to enthusiastically and aggressively take ownership, prioritize effectively, and ultimately drive through to completion.
Bachelor’s Degree (Advanced degree preferred, but not required)
Minimum of 5- 7 years of relevant professional experience (e.g. budget management, financial analysis, business strategy)
Strong familiarity with financial concepts.
Robust knowledge of MetLife’s businesses with a focus on the financials.
Demonstrated proficiency in the translation of financial and operational data to business action.
Demonstrated presentation skills, and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Leadership and participation on small team projects with results being reported to management.
Strong project and program management fundamentals
Proven ability to rapidly learn new applications and apply to analytical processes
Ability to present recommendations into a concise format to executive leaders.
Ability to create sustainable reporting processes in the absence of in-place tools.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and multiple budget / financial applications.
Additional programming knowledge a plus.
SharePoint knowledge an asset.
