Basic Purpose


Position is responsible for the day to day management support of Starwood Hotel Account. Will be responsible for ensuring product availability, addressing service related issues, applying creative problem solving, facilitation of product sampling/cuttings and the identification of opportunities to improve efficiencies and streamline processes in order to meet/exceed Starwood expectations. Additional focus will be on cost savings thru both operational process improvements and the product selection process. The Senior Manager of National Sales will provide improved vendor communications, alignment and increased penetration of EB products while strengthening our overall relationship with Starwood Hotels.

Develop customer relationships at the headquarters level.

Act as the single point of contact and coordination for all major customer issues for Starwood Hotel.

Introduce new products to Starwood and coordinate product cuttings with both Starwood and Foodbuy.

Identify opportunities to improve compliance utilizing available reporting tools

Support the following processes; new item introduction , product lines additions, new vendors, SKU Rationalization, Special Orders, product deletions/additions driven by menu changes.

Develop and execute strategies and tactics that will drive results and strengthen customer business relationships by understanding and responding to customer and market strategic requirements.

Develop action plans to achieve planned performance targets for Starwood Hotels including sales and profitability management.

Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time overnight.





Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience, required.

Related Experience


Minimum 5 years food service distribution and customer interface required. Prior experience with Hotels and Resorts preferred.



Must possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships/partnerships. Must be able to think strategically with the ability to see long term impact, risks and opportunities. Must possess strong business acumen and demonstrate sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be well organized, detail orientated and demonstrate consistent, result-oriented follow-through.
