Job Summary

Maintains overall responsibility for the management of all networking assets in INC Research production facilities including engineering, specification, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning to meet aggressive Business SLA’s. Responsibilities include WAN Engineering, capacity planning, traffic engineering, circuit acceptance and troubleshooting coupled with proposing enhancements to the network architecture and lead deployment efforts. May seek guidance from Senior Network Engineer(s).

Core Responsibilities

1. Maintains all LAN/WAN/IP Telephony/Firewall infrastructure in the INC Research network.

2. Administers all routers and firewalls.

3. Designs and implements networks to meet business requirements for SLA.

4. Performs elevated tier support for Help Desk operations.

5. Conducts application and network design discussions with other IT personnel.

Skills & Attributes

Requires a BA/BA in computer science or similar discipline, or equivalent related experience and education, plus moderate experience in a network and/or security engineering role or equivalent network architectural capacity with proven experience in enterprise network architecture, management, capacity planning & monitoring. Cisco Certifications such as CCNP/CCVP/CCDP (or a combination of) preferred.

Experience with design, planning and trouble-shooting network related problems in an enterprise environment with expertise in Cisco Routers, Switches, and Intrusion Detection required. Must have experience with Cisco 2500, 2600, 2800 and series 3700 routers, and 3500 switches and PIX firewalls. Strong working knowledge of network/internet Protocols/Services such as VoIP, SONET, ATM, GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSec & NAT is also required.

Proven experience in leading large to small technical projects with demonstrated oral and written ability to communicate with team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required. Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Requires above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills. The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary. Requires strong and effective documentation skills.

Preferred Unified Call Center Enterprise (UCCE) experience.
