Raytheon is looking for a Senior Engineer to provide program management and systems engineering support to a US Government program. The senior engineer will serve as a member of a team that is responsible for monitoring and facilitating technical development and production projects that are being performed for a Government customer. Job duties include ensuring that system requirements and specifications are consistent with operational deployment environments, recommending innovative solutions for technical and operational problems, monitoring and documenting component and system tests, ensuring compliance with Government program management practices, supporting program control gates and boards, and authoring and reviewing project documentation. The job location is at a Government facility in Northern Virginia, and some domestic travel (one week per month) will be required.
Required Skills and Experience:
20 + years of experience managing technical system development projects in the Intelligence Community (IC).
10+ years of experience supporting overseas technical activities for the IC.
Knowledge of security and counterintelligence risks and associated risk mitigation strategies.
Ability to manage complex system development to meet hard operational timelines.
Excellent ability to communicate in writing and through formal presentations (briefings).
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Program Management or COTR certification.
Configuration management training or experience.
Required Education -
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science is required. Advanced technical or scientific degree is highly desirable.
