Under the direction of the Manager IT Applications, this p
osition supports the continuing deployment and development of vendor proprietary hospital application software (one or more systems) necessary to run clinical or financial systems within a large integrated hospital system.
This position analyzes existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality for conformity with clinical health system workflow processes, utilizes specialized, proprietary software tool sets to enable software functionality; works within project teams to achieve team goals and outcomes; demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with independent judgment; provides measurable customer service, and performs duties within MIHS missions and values.
In addition, this position takes on a lead role in m
entoring, developing junior analysts and educates others on best practices.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Must have a minimum of four (4) years experience with clinical or financial hospital applications software support, including multiple software implementations or re-engineering.
Certification in multiple Epic applications will substitute up to two (2) years of required experience.
Certification in clinical or financial Application is required and must be kept up to date with application/system installed.
If certification is substituting for years of experience, then must have and keep up to date certification in two or more certifications in Epic Applications.
Must maintain application/system knowledge and certifications to be effective in position. Knowledge of analytical methods, procedures, and practices, to include software.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation. Must possess solid analytical skills that can translate the analysis into effective troubleshooting and problem resolution, frequently exercising independent technical judgment. Must possess clear oral and written communication skills.
