Primarily responsible for product quality. Generate and monitor product quality metrics and coordinate with Operations to improve product quality through application of Six Sigma and Lean techniques. Lead Material Review Board and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) teams for non-conformances. Interface with engineering on new programs to determine and implement quality requirements. Perform process and product audits internally and with the customer. Evaluate non-conforming material and products and disposition. Monitor process performance and work with operations to improve. Train inspectors on proper inspection techniques. Author Inspection Instructions. Coordinate activities with Purchasing, conduct Supplier Surveys and approvals. Work with Operations to improve Supplier performance. Author Quality Assurance Procedures. Create Quality Assurance Plans for new programs. Implement SPC on production processes. Perform other related duties as assigned.
•Minimum five to seven years of professional quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
•Must be proficient with AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Standards
•Experience with Auditing in a manufacturing environment
•Must have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
oSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, FRACAS, & RCCA.
•Ability to implement SPC on production processes
•Ability to lead teams for RCCA and process quality improvements
•Certified AS9100 auditor
•ASQ certified Quality Engineer

•Knowledge of FAA CFR 14 Part 21
•Knowledge of Non-Destructive testing techniques, i.e., x-ray, CMM, DP, Magnetic Particle, and CT
•Process knowledge, i.e., welding, brazing, soldering, cleaning, mechanical assembly, & marking

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science
