Role:
The Senior Trader is responsible for aggressive development and maintenance of the Securities Lending business: managing interaction with key counterparties, focusing on productive and profitable use of inventories for both internal and external clients, contributing insight into marketplace developments, procuring actionable intelligence from tools and other resources at their disposal, and providing veteran leadership to the team.
One of the core functions of the Securities Lending group is to approve and settle all client short sales. This order flow accounts for approximately $32M annually, and providing this service leads to inquiries and interactions from all segments of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Initial negotiation/allocation of high value collateral
Relationship management & development
Maintenance of existing transactions
Assisting team with various support functions (financing, short sale approval, etc..)
Provide management and team with tactical relationship or market intelligence gathered through engagement of counterparties or individually directed research efforts
Relationship manager & key channel for deployment of highly valued inventory
Gathers intelligence on the market, counterparty, and individual securities to share with team to coordinate efforts and improve performance and efficacy
Derives performance benchmarking data & manages segregation preference routine to ensure most efficient use of available assets
Travels to engage and develop new or existing client relationships
Marketing/allocation/pricing of individual securities with counterparties
Negotiation of re-pricing on aged business with counterparties
Solicitation of borrows to offset recalls/buy-ins against TDA clients
Segregation preference determination to drive effective use of $9B in margin debit collateral

Requirements:
4 year college degree
5+ years of securities lending experience
Series 7, 63
High degree of familiarity with the Securities Lending business
Well established relationships with key trading partners, and familiarity with other market participants
Ability to balance multiple demands for attention and service in a dynamic workstream
Ability to coordinate and collaborate efforts within a team context
Proficiency with MS Office, Bloomberg, Loanet, DTCC
Escalation of the decisions for this position are typically associated with pricing due to magnitude of economic impact or effect to clients
