  • Provide Oracle Retail applications (MOM and ORPAS) technical and functional expertise, mainly in inventory management, pricing, merchandising and financial planning, forecasting areas
  • Lead/manage application support team, to triage issues/defects with Oracle Retail applications, interfaces and environment (Data, RIB, Application Code etc) to ensure appropriate service availability and to provide root cause analysis.
  • Prioritize competing demands for defect fixes, requests for functional/technical enhancements and new capabilities to support evolving business needs and priorities in close partnership with product management team, application end users and IT teams
  • Oversee and participate in installing, configuring, deploying Oracle Retail applications, including Managing code deployments, patch releases and minor upgrades
  • Influence work efforts to resolve issues that span multiple functional and technical areas by closely working with other IT teams and other levels of support to ensure appropriate service delivery
  • Provide thought leadership to application support teams for operational procedures and guide, influence, advice and enforce standards and best practices
  • Liaise with vendors on application issues/development to ensure prompt response to application issues and timely completion of efforts with quality deliverables
  • Be the custodian for application information documentation and knowledge base to help effective application support
  • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and lead transition of new projects into support mode
  • Set up, provisioning & refresh of environments, including provisioning of a stable platform for development teams in partnership with Infrastructure (UNIX, DBA, Storage etc) and development teams to build and maintain a stable application platform for projects to operate in

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT with progressively increasing responsibilities, preferably in Retail industry
  • 2+ year of experience leading application support teams, made up of employees or consultants
  • 3+ years of experience working with Oracle Retail applications – MOM & ORPAS – configuration, customization, optimization and code implementation in addition to interface development to external systems
  • Experience in Oracle Retail Merchandise Operations Management (MOM) application development / support experience, having
o Functional expertise of RMS (v12), RPM(v12)

o Technical expertise in Oracle Forms, Reports, Pro *C, PL/SQL, Unix(AIX)

o In-depth knowledge of data model for these products

o Script Development to support additional integrations or ad-hoc requests

  • Experience in Oracle Retail Planning and forecasting based on Oracle retail predictive application server (ORPAS 10.1.2/10.1.3):
o Functional expertise of MFP (v12), Top Plan/Key Plan, RDF

  • Merchandise and Financial planning
  • Top down planning
  • Demand forecasting
o Technical expertise in Accumate Oracle Database

o Batch APIs

o In-depth knowledge of data model for these products

o Script Development to support additional integrations or ad-hoc requests

  • In-depth knowledge of Integration Architecture for oracle applications – RIB, ETL
  • Proven ability to interact with business partners on requirements, prioritize efforts and communicate clear status
Technical Skills:
  • Retail /apparel Industry experience a plus
  • Oracle10g RDBMS
  • Unix (AIX), UNIX Scripting
  • Oracle10g Database Server
  • Oracle Forms Developer 6 – 10g (Forms/Reports)
  • C / Pro*C
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Retail integration technologies and architecture

  • Performance analysis and tuning.
o RDBMS Tuning

o Performance Monitoring Tools

o Batch tuning

  • Experience with Java technologies/frameworks or SAS software is a plus
