Raytheon is currently seeking a Systems Engineer as a member of the Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) staff, the entity within the Independence program which provides Systems Engineering support at an off-site government location (Site) at the systems operations level and which serves as the focal point for development initiatives from study phase through transition to operations.
This Systems Engineer position serves as a project team lead with an emphasis in Cloud Computing project management and provides systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and execute projects through system transition. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead, perform or participate in study activities to include trade studies as it relates to cloud computing environments.
Implement cloud computing technologies within the customer mission space.
Lead and manage cloud enterprise and/or segment integration initiatives.
Facilitate IPTs, prepare minutes, track action items, etc.
Develop and allocate requirements when developing system and segment level documentation.
Develop, maintain and manage project schedules for assigned projects.
Prepare and maintain project plans for assigned projects.
Assess dependencies, impacts, and risks associated with enterprise and segment proposed or approved integration activities.
Ensure site resources are identified, documented and tasked for all assigned projects.
Support enterprise and segment test and verification activities.
Support activities include, but are not limited to
Review or generate test plans
Review or generate readiness review and transition chart packages
Generation of MemoGrams, RFC coordination, CM activities
Coordination with internal and external organizations
Recommend solutions to needs or deficiencies to help ensure mission success.
Prepare and present project status, special topic and issue presentations to senior Customers and management.
5 years related project or program management experience.
Must have TS/SSBI with SCI and ability to obtain CI poly
Must have cloud computing experience or certification
Must have knowledge of VM technologies
Must have excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Must be able to work in a team environment and must be well organized
Must have the ability to manage multiple on-going projects simultaneously
Broad range of Cloud IT and IT project management experience
Cloud Computing Certification (e.g. CCP, CCTP)
Configuration Management Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Project and the ability to maintain and generate project schedules
Proprietary Customer process and operational experience
ITIL IT Service Management experience or certification
Required Education (including Major):
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, IT, management or related field or possess equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain a CI Poly if not already existing.
