What you get to do every day:
You will work closely with other designers on the team to drive and evolve Zendesk’s brand across all channels mostly focusing on mobile platforms

Mindfully approach design decisions always thinking about the impact on a users overall experience

Take concepts and quickly iterate to final, well-thought out functional design solutions

Help establish and reinforce consistent visual design patterns across platforms

Understanding of the Zendesk brand and alignment of our interface designs need to reflect this to our audience

Know what questions to ask of key stakeholders to deliver the best results throughout the design process

Be able to defend your choices behind every design decision you make

Turn complex concepts into elegant mobile solutions – simple and uncluttered

Seamlessly deliver solutions that are both efficient and fun

Work across disciplines within the team to achieve your goals

Participate high-level product discussions and understand the low level implications of same

Work closely with our PM’s, UX designers, Engineers to define the best way to approach a problem and others to drive product success

What you bring to the role:
3+ years hands-on design experience across multiple platforms with a portfolio that reflects your work

Hands-on experience and comfort with designing interfaces specifically for mobile devices - iOS, Android, Blackberry

Deftness with the use of Photoshop and Illustrator - After Effects, and Quartz Composer a plus

A portfolio that includes personal projects that feature your ability to creatively control the work from end to end

Showcase a specific app, website, blog or other where you to realized this vision

A strong understanding of customer service at least conceptually and why design is so important to our product

Able to empathize with a wide variety of users from SMB to Enterprise

Passion and innovative thinking with unique ideas about where Zendesk’s product can go

An approach to Design with a strong sense of a user’s experience and the want to occasionally help with wireframes if the need arises

Bonus points if you have any iconography skills

Great communication skills both written and verbal
